I am currently a junior Electrical Engineering Major attending Rice University. I am a member of Brown College. I really enjoy both computer programming and designing hardware components in the lab. I work as a lab assistant for Elec 241 (Introduction to Electrical Engineering) and help members of that class build an optical telephone as a final lab project. I play trumpet in the MOB, or Marching Owl Band, and work on staff as an event coordinator. This is my third year in the MOB and I have really enjoyed playing with them. Also, when football season ends, I play in the Basketball Owl Band, or BOB. My girlfriend's name is Kerri and we have spent 18 wonderful months together. I am a Campus Computing Associate (CCA) for Brown College in which I help all the members of the college with their computer problems. I worked at Tivoli this past summer in the Boot Camp. Tivoli is a software company, with its main headquarters in Austin, Texas. As a subsidiary of IBM, Tivoli writes management software for large networks. Please see the Tivoli link for more information about Tivoli. The project I had this summer was to help optimize the build process through the use of cross platform compilation. If you click on the Cross Compilers link, you can see the steps of how to build a linux hosted solaris2.6 cross compiler. |
